Route 4 — Pokémon Rejuvenation Route Guide
Route 4 is the route north of the Wispy Ruins on Floria Island, and it is the Rift Den route — one of the only places in the game where Rift Dens exist, and the place you buy the respawner that keeps them coming.

Surf is needed somewhere in this area, not necessarily to enter it — the tables below say where.
What this area is
One of the only place to have Raid Den's Badge 5 is when they all unlock - aka Surf Badge 8 is the first upgrade Post fly is the final upgrade Get 250 Red Essence if you clear a Den or defeat it, 500 if you catch the mon. Some will activate each day, but best way is to buy the respawner from Cairo with money. If you say no to Clearing a Den/Fighting then it rerolls the encounter.
What is here
The den system runs on badges and on Red Essence. Badge 5 is when the dens all unlock, which is the same point Surf becomes available. Badge 8 is the first upgrade, and the final upgrade comes after Fly. Clearing or defeating a den gives 250 Red Essence; catching what is inside gives 500. Some dens reactivate each day on their own, but the efficient route is to buy the respawner from Cairo with money.
There is a re-roll built in. If you say no to clearing or fighting a den, the encounter inside is rerolled — which turns a bad roll into a second attempt rather than a lost den.
The Red Essence Shop is what the currency is for, and it sells crests: Noctowl, Simisage, Simisear and Simipour at 2,000 RE; Luxray at 5,000; Druddigon, Thievul and Samurott at 5,000 with eight badges; Boltund, Probopass, Swalot and Cinccino at 9,000 with thirteen; and Delcatty at 14,000 with fifteen. A Bike Voucher is 250 RE.
Two other shops sit alongside it. The Fragment Shop sells Rift Fragments at 4,956, 14,868 and 24,780 Pokedollars, and the Scents Shop sells ten-packs of Joy, Excite and Vivid Scent at 5,000, 8,500 and 11,000.
The route also carries the Wild Area and The Lost Camp, and its encounter table is one of the largest on the site at 226 rows, led by Sunkern and Sunflora at 20% each in the low 30s.

Before you go
- Say no to a den you do not want. Declining to clear or fight rerolls the encounter rather than wasting the den.
- Buy the respawner from Cairo. Waiting for dens to reactivate daily is slower than paying for it.
- Catching what is inside a den is worth double — 500 Red Essence against 250 for clearing or defeating it.
- The crests here are the reason to farm Red Essence at all, and the best of them are badge-gated at 13 and 15. If a crest is greyed out, it is the badge count and not the currency.

How do Rift Dens work on Route 4?
They unlock at badge 5, upgrade at badge 8 and upgrade again after Fly. Clearing or defeating one gives 250 Red Essence, catching the Pokemon inside gives 500. Declining rerolls the encounter.
How do I respawn Rift Dens on Route 4?
Some reactivate each day on their own, but the reliable way is to buy the respawner from Cairo with money.
What does the Route 4 Red Essence Shop sell?
Crests, from 2,000 RE for Noctowl and the Simi trio up to 14,000 for Delcatty, with badge requirements at 8, 13 and 15. It also sells a Bike Voucher for 250 RE.
