West Gearen City is a city located in the southwestern Floria Island. It is surrounded by water. It is home to the ninth Gym, and its leader Erick an Electric-type specialist. It features some notable place like the West Gearen Power Plant, West Gearen Sewage Management, and Grand Express. To the east is East Gearen City and both cities are connected through the Junction Bridge. The Player can access other locations like Sheridan Village, Goldenleaf Town, and Akuwa Town through the Truck Guy situated in the southern part of the city.

It is surrounded by water and joined to East Gearen City by the Junction Bridge to the east, with the Truck Guy in the south running to East Gearen City, Sheridan Village, Goldenleaf Town and Akuwa Town. It is home to the ninth gym, led by Erick, an Electric-type specialist.
The city's landmarks are industrial: the West Gearen Sewage Management, the West Gearen Power Plant, the Tecanlite Factory, the Gearen News HQ and the Grand Express. Blakeroy Manor is here too, and it is accessed through the House Sit help quest rather than by walking up to it.
The Help Plaza sits in the northern part of the city's southern side, right of the Gearen News HQ, and it runs three requests and a completion reward: Generator Problems and House Sit at 5,500 each, Hidden Library 3 at 4,000, and a Turtwig Egg for finishing all of them.
The vendors here sell fossils rather than consumables — an Old Amber and a Cover Fossil at 75,000 each — and there are 29 recorded pickups, most of them hidden behind dumpsters, crates and fences. A Blast Powder can also be bought from a Female Scientist down from the Help Plaza for 5,000.
The trainers are a late-game crowd at levels 55 to 57, and the encounters match: Liepard at 40% and Watchog at 20% across three slots, at levels 49 to 53.

Before you go
- The Turtwig Egg needs all three help quests cleared, not any single one. House Sit is worth doing anyway because it is the only way into Blakeroy Manor.
- The city is not East Gearen with a different name. It has its own gym, its own ninth-badge placement and its own Help Plaza, and the two are joined only by the Junction Bridge.
- The fossil vendor is the notable shop: an Old Amber and a Cover Fossil at 75,000 each, which is more than most of the region's stock.
- The trainers and encounters here are levels 49 to 57, so this is a late-run city despite being in Floria.
