How the Story Fits Together
Think of the plot in four acts. Act one (Chapters 1–5) is the Floria arc: you earn your first badges in East Gearen and Goldenleaf, meet the core cast, and lose your first ally to a Rift. Act two (Chapters 6–9) moves to Terajuma: the Relic hunt, Angie's defeat, and the devastating Chapter 9 losses that leave the group scattered. Act three (Chapters 10–14) is the Grand Dream City arc: the stone phenomenon, Bladestar's rise, and Venam's petrification. Act four (Chapter 15 + .Karma Files) unites every faction under Alexandra's plan: training in Sashila, the three Component expeditions (Terajuma's seafloor castle, the Den of Souls under Goldenwood, and the School of Nightmares), the Puppet Master's defeat, and the march on Team Xen's headquarters.
Two threads deserve special attention before you play. First, the Stone / Storm mystery: Nim's illness in Chapter 6 foreshadows the petrifications, and Nim herself is revealed to have once manifested as "the Storm." Second, the Interceptor: the protagonist's true origin is revealed during Chapter 15's nightmare sequence — this is also the point where the Renegade Route can be initiated if prerequisites were met. Character motives and allegiances are covered in the main characters guide.
The story visits Aevium's four sub-regions roughly in order — Floria, Terajuma, Grand Dream City, then the Badlands — so the table below maps each chapter to its main locations and the events that define it.

Key Quests & Side Quests
Side quests in Rejuvenation are numbered on the official wiki and most grant Karma — which feeds into the Paragon/Renegade system. The table highlights the most-searched quests; several are time-sensitive, so complete them before advancing chapters.
| Quest | Chapter | Why players care |
|---|---|---|
| Save Starly! | Ch. 1 | East Gearen Help Plaza quest, +1 Karma; one of the earliest moral choices in the game. |
| Missing Mother! | Ch. 1 | Help Plaza quest (+1 Karma) — part of the batch that's permanently missable once you leave for Grand Dream City. |
| The Hidden Library (1–3 & Finale) | Ch. 1 / 2 / 9 / 14 | A long-running research chain tied to Magnolia Library and the mysterious Zumi. |
| Abnormal Phenomenon | Ch. 6 | One of the early hints at the stone/Storm mystery that defines the mid-game. |
| Phase Dial Quest | Ch. 7 | A Terajuma-era quest centered on the Phase Dial item. |
| Infinite Potential | Ch. 9 | Unlocks a major power-up system; often recommended before the late-game difficulty spike. |
| Missing Children | Ch. 12 | A widely searched GDC-era side quest involving children gone missing in the city. |
| Classified Information | Ch. 12 | One of the most-asked-about quests; players frequently ask whether it must be finished before Chapter 15 — see the FAQ below. |
| Legend of the Void | Ch. 13 | Badlands lore quest tied to the region's ruined past. |
| Reborn Again | Ch. 13 | A celebrated callback quest with a unique reward. |
| Legendary Wings | .Karma Files | One of the six quests added with the V13.5 mini chapter. |
Quests to prioritize before Chapter 15
Community guides and the official wiki agree: clear every Help Plaza quest (the seven Chapter 1–2 era quests including Save Starly!, Missing Mother!, Love Letter!, Dangerous Pokémon, Wretched Music, The Hidden Library and Battle Me!) before the story moves you toward Grand Dream City — they're gone forever otherwise. Late-game, Classified Information and Missing Children are the quests players most often regret leaving undone; complete them before Chapter 15 content if you want full Karma. The full numbered quest list (98 quests as of .Karma Files) is on the official wiki's Sidequests page.
V14 Story Preview — What's Known (as of V14)
These are the story-related terms players search for most, with what we can honestly say as of V14:
- Storm Nym — community shorthand for story content involving Nim's Storm manifestation. Nim's link to the Storm is established in the current story (Alexandra once met Nim while she manifested as the Storm), so V14 material expanding this is widely expected.
- Black Prism / Prism Pokémon — a Pokémon-related mechanic in V14. The official wiki has no detailed page for it as of V14; avoid trusting specific farming or location claims until it's documented.
- Forsaken Laboratory and Where Love Lies — Where Love Lies is the official 306 MB side game set after Chapter 12 (covered on the download page); Forsaken Laboratory appears in player discussions about V14 areas, but the official wiki has no entry for it as of V14, so we can't confirm details without inventing them.
- Ancient Teachings — another V14-era search term without an official wiki page yet; treat as unconfirmed.
- Chapter 16 — added in V14, it continues the story from the end of .Karma Files. Version 16 is the planned final update.
The official wiki remains the source of truth for exact details, and this guide tracks it. Use the save guide to back up your file before updating, and the relationship guide to make the most of your playthrough choices.
Chapter 16 in Play — the Paragon Boss Gauntlet
"Chapter 16" is the single most-searched chapter on this site, and until now the honest answer here was only that it continues from the end of .Karma Files. That is not much help when you are standing in front of it. So I went through current V14 recordings of the chapter and pulled out what it actually puts in front of you.
The clearest source is a full Paragon boss compilation — Wintertia, V14 | ALL BOSS BATTLES (Chapter 16 Paragon) (August 2026, 59 minutes) — which timestamps every fight in the order that run met them:
| # | Boss | In the recording | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Archrift Galvantula | 00:19 | Opens the chapter with Archrift-form battles. |
| 2 | Archrift Volcanion | 03:10 | — |
| 3 | Shiv | 05:32 | — |
| 4 | Eli & Sharon | 08:18 | A double battle. |
| 5 | Double Stalkataka | 12:01 | — |
| 6 | Rift Torterra / Earth Shatterer | 13:32 | A Rift fight, carrying a title. |
| 7 | Cadarellia | 15:28 | — |
| 8 | League Developer Isha | 16:44 | Note the League rank in the name. |
| 9 | Rift Finneon / Chi-Two | 18:57 | — |
| 10 | Kieran | 20:24 | — |
| 11 | Clear / Risa | 22:17 | Fought as an illusion of Risa in this run. |
| 12 | Madelis — Tower F1 | 24:24 | The tower's first floor. |
| 13 | Flora — Tower F2 | 25:55 | — |
| 14 | Rift Lilligants / Yulia & Lena — Tower F3 | 28:03 | Floor 3 opens with a pair. |
| 15 | Rift Hydrapple / Kings of Apples — Tower F3 | 29:19 | — |
| 16 | Cassandra — Tower F3 | 31:28 | Closes the tower section. |
| 17 | Neved — Jurisdiction | 35:39 | Start of the Xen "Jurisdiction" run. |
| 18 | Geara — Jurisdiction | 38:12 | — |
| 19 | Madelis — Jurisdiction | 40:32 | Second Madelis fight of the chapter. |
| 20 | Nastasia — Jurisdiction | 42:56 | — |
| 21 | Madame Shogun — Phase 1 | 45:51 | A two-phase fight. |
| 22 | Madame Shogun — Phase 2 | 47:58 | — |
| 23 | Angie | 51:13 | — |
| 24 | Vitus & Nym | 53:15 | Labelled the final boss in this run. |
A second recording of the same chapter sharpens the endgame and adds the titles the game uses for these fights. This one covers the chapter's final gambit segment only — icewave, Chapter 16, Part 3 [Paragon]: Final Gambit (July 2026) — and runs:
- Xen Executive Neved → Xen Executive Geara → Xen Horde Squad 03 → Xen Admin Nastasia — the executive sequence, with the corporate ranks stated in the names.
- Yveltal, then Xen Dictator Madame X — the Yveltal fight you may know from earlier in the story recurs here, immediately before Madame X herself.
- Catalyst Madame Shogun, then Madame Shogun [Ruthless], then later Madame Shogun [Spirit Butterfly] — three distinct forms across this segment alone, which is why "how many Madame Shogun fights are there" has no short answer.
- Faithful Servant Angie → Enforcer Damien → King of Kings and Queen of Beasts Vitus and Nym → World Shatterer Kaina, which closes this run. A third recording of a NG+ file lists its final battle as The World Shatterer, so Kaina's titled form is the endgame's last wall.
Two separate Paragon recordings of the same chapter, so treat this as what V14 Chapter 16 contains rather than a single canonical ordering: the chapter-wide run ends at "Vitus & Nym", while the Final Gambit run continues past it to the World Shatterer. Boss titles are transcribed from the creators' own chapter lists. This material comes from gameplay recordings (July–August 2026), not from the official wiki, so exact ordering and phase counts should be confirmed in your own build — your quest log remains the authority for where you are.
The Prologue, Unlocked in Stages
One piece of story structure that has no home on the wiki but affects what you see on a replay: the V14 prologue is not a fixed sequence. It is split into sections that unlock progressively according to your save file, and if your save does not meet a section's requirement, the game skips ahead instead of showing it.
This comes from a creator who recorded the whole thing and mapped out where each section ends — Partyhardy, The Full Prologue (V14, July 2026):
| Section | Requirement | In the recording |
|---|---|---|
| Base | No preconditions | 00:00 |
| Stage 1 | 3 badges | 09:18 |
| Stage 2 | 9 badges | 19:22 |
| Stage 3 | A completed V14 story | 28:37 |
| Ending | Follows Stage 3 | 47:20 |
The creator is explicit that you cannot see the full sequence without a finished V14 Paragon save file. So if your prologue felt short on a first run, that was the badge gate, not a missed trigger — and it is another reason to keep your completed save rather than overwrite it. See the save guide's NG+ section for the rest of what a finished save unlocks.
Section boundaries and badge requirements as reported by the creator who recorded the full prologue on V14 (July 2026); not documented on the official wiki. The specific cut points may shift with patches — confirm against your own save.
Chapters Where Your Choice Changes the Boss
Most chapter summaries assume a fixed boss list. In at least one stretch of Rejuvenation that is not true — the branch you take decides which gym leader you fight. The best-documented case is the Darchlight Cave sequence and the Flora/Florin decision, recorded route by route by Dred, All Darchlight Cave Routes & Outcomes (v13.5).
The recording walks six distinct outcomes from the same starting point:
- Don't confront or expose Flora — the passive route.
- Confront Flora but don't expose her.
- Expose Flora without letting Florin attack.
- Expose Flora and let Florin attack — the same choice with a materially different scene.
- Go with Florin/Erin and expose Flora.
- Go with Florin/Erin and don't expose Flora.
What makes this worth knowing before you reach it: the branch determines your gym battle — the recording shows both a Flora Gym Battle and a Florin Gym Battle as separate outcomes, plus an alternate Florin dialogue variant. So two players comparing gym lists can both be right and still disagree. The exposure decision also feeds the endgame scoring described in our choices guide, which is why it is worth deciding deliberately rather than by accident.
Route names and outcomes from a v13.5 recording that documents each branch separately; the underlying branch structure may have been adjusted in V14, so verify before planning a run around a specific outcome. This is included because it explains a discrepancy readers routinely hit — two guides listing different bosses for the same chapter — rather than as a complete branch guide.
Pokemon Rejuvenation Chapters & Quests FAQ
Do you have to finish the Classified Information quest in V14 before starting Chapter 15?
The official wiki dates Classified Information to the Chapter 12 era, and most quests expire when the main story advances past them. The conservative answer is yes — finish it before Chapter 15 content to be safe, and check the wiki's Sidequests page for each quest's exact expiration point.
Is the Odessa quest important in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
As of V14 there is no quest called "Odessa" on the official wiki. If you're thinking of a missable side quest, the general rule applies: side quests grant Karma, Karma feeds Paragon vs Renegade, so completing them is worthwhile for completionists and route-focused players alike.
What is Storm Nym in Pokemon Rejuvenation V14?
Nim is connected to a being called "the Storm" in the current story — Alexandra's account in Chapter 15 describes meeting Nim while she manifested as the Storm. "Storm Nym" is the community's name for the V14 content around this, details of which are unconfirmed as of V14.
Is there a Chapter 16 in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
Yes. V14 ends at Chapter 16 plus the .Karma Files mini chapter. The game is still in active development: Version 16 is slated as the final update. "Pokemon Rejuvenation chapter 16" searches now point to real V14 content.
What happens in Chapter 16 of Pokemon Rejuvenation?
It is a long boss gauntlet rather than a single confrontation — roughly two dozen named fights in one chapter. A recorded Paragon run shows the shape: Archrift bosses, a run of Rift fights, a three-floor tower (Madelis on F1, Flora on F2, then three fights on F3 including Cassandra), a Xen Jurisdiction sequence (Neved, Geara, Madelis, Nastasia), then Madame Shogun in two phases, Angie and Vitus & Nym. A second recording of the chapter's final segment runs on past that through Madame X and several more Madame Shogun forms to World Shatterer Kaina. See Chapter 16 in play for the full list with timings.
Why is the prologue different on a second playthrough?
Because the V14 prologue is split into sections that unlock according to your save file: the base section always plays, then further sections require 3 badges, then 9 badges, then a completed V14 story. If your save does not qualify, the game skips ahead — and you cannot see the whole sequence without a finished V14 Paragon file. Keep your completed save rather than overwriting it. See the prologue's unlock stages.
How do I start Chapter 15 in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
Chapter 15, "Vague Clarity," begins right after Chapter 14's ending: Bladestar is dealt with, the Spring of Rejuvenation revives everyone petrified, and Alexandra summons you to Sashila Village — the opening task is simply to visit her there.
What is the Black Prism in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
The Black Prism is associated with the Prism Pokémon content in V14. As of V14, the official wiki hasn't documented it, so treat guides that claim specific mechanics as unofficial.
