The five story and world pages

Spoiler weight, page by page

The five pages differ enormously in what they give away, and the difference is not obvious from their titles. This is what each one actually reveals and the earliest point at which it is safe to read.

Page Gives away Safe to read
Locations Geography, area names and what lives where. Almost no plot, beyond the fact that a place exists and roughly when you reach it. Immediately — this is the one page here with no real spoiler cost.
Characters Who exists, who belongs to which faction, and the titles and aliases characters accumulate. Several entries describe allegiance shifts that are plot reveals in their own right. Character by character: read the entry once you have met that person, not before.
Chapters & quests What happens, chapter by chapter, including boss identities and how the story resolves. The heaviest page on the site for spoilers. After you have finished the chapter, or at the very end of a run.
Save & choices That branching exists at all, which decisions carry weight, and what the different endings are. It spoils the shape of the story even when it does not describe the events. Before a decision you want to steer, and after the run for the rest.
Relationship How character relationships are scored, and which specific events raise or lower them — which is to say, that those events happen. Late. The page references events by chapter, so it assumes you are past them.

Which page answers which question

These five overlap in subject matter far more than the other clusters on the site, because character, place and plot are tangled together in this game. The question you are asking decides the page.

You want to know Open Not to be confused with
What happens in a particular chapter Chapters & quests Walkthrough, which explains how to get through the chapter rather than what it contains
Who someone is, or why they have three different names Characters Relationship, which covers how they respond to you, not who they are
Where an area is and how to reach it Locations Pokemon guide, which indexes by species rather than by map
Whether a choice has locked you out of something Save & choices Relationship, where the consequence is about a person rather than an ending
Why a character is suddenly cold with you Relationship Characters, which describes personality rather than tracked state
Which side quests are worth doing before the endgame Chapters & quests Collection, which tracks achievements rather than quests

A reading order that does not spoil the run

The pages are not meant to be read front to back. Read in this order and you get the help without losing the story.

  1. While playing: Locations whenever you cannot find your way, and a character entry only after that person has appeared.
  2. Before a decision you care about: the matching section of Save & choices. It is written to be read before rather than after, which is why it has to tell you that branches exist.
  3. When you finish a chapter: the chapter summary on Chapters & quests, to catch what you missed on the way through.
  4. After the credits: Relationship and the rest of the choices page. Both are far more useful once nothing left on them can spoil you.
  5. On a second run: all five, in any order. Knowing how the story ends is what makes the branching legible.

What this hub does not do

It tells you what each page costs you in spoilers and which one answers your question. It does not summarise them: the chapter page already carries every chapter summary, and a shorter copy here would compete with it in search results while being less useful than the original.

About this hub

Which of these pages are safe to read early?

The region and cast pages are the safest — they describe what exists rather than what happens. The chapter and decision pages go deep into plot, so save those until you have passed the point you care about.

I want to avoid spoilers entirely. What can I read?

Read the region page only, and treat the cast page as spoilery if you care about who appears when. Both cards below state their spoiler weight up front so you do not have to guess.

Why are story and world grouped together?

Because in this game they are the same material. Where you are in the region usually determines where you are in the story, and several decisions only make sense alongside the place they happen in.

Sources & Further Reading
