Route 2 — Pokémon Rejuvenation Route Guide
Route 2 is the pink-tree route between East Gearen City and River's End on Floria Island, and it holds Kecleon's Shop — six separate counters selling things no ordinary Poke Mart stocks.

What this area is
Route 2 is covered in a lot of pink trees of varying colour, with one more remarkable tree, Cherry Blossom Tree, near the top. Immediately south of this is the Kecleon Shop, which offers items not found in a regular Pokemart. A river that flows from Route 3 and River's End from the north crosses through the center, and exits towards north again. At the southwest is the Train Station leading from East Gearen City. To the north of the station is an RV which currently houses a Painter. The tall grass on this route comes in two colours: green and pink, which reflects on the nature around it. Scattered around the route are small trees that can be removed with Cut, and special trees that can be shaken with Headbutt for wild Pokémon encounters. From Route 2, the player can access: River's End by rock climbing near the top of the map, crossing a small sliver of water, and going north; Amethyst Cave through the cave entrance in the northeastern part of the route; and East Gearen City by taking the train in the southwestern part of the route.
What is here
The route is lined with pink trees of varying colour, with one remarkable specimen, the Cherry Blossom Tree, near the top of the map. Immediately south of it is Kecleon's Shop, which is the reason to come: it sells items that are not available in a regular Poke Mart.
The shop is six counters rather than one, and they are worth treating separately. The left-side top-left counter carries Super Potions at 500 and Max Revives at 9,500. The top-right carries Pomeg and Kelpsy Berries at 8,500 each. The bottom-left carries Protein and HP Up at 6,800. The bottom-right is the expensive one: a Black Prism at 25,000 and an Ice Stone at 25,000. On the right side, the top-left stocks Magnetic and Mirror Lures at 2,000 each, once only, and the bottom-right sells Meganium and Typhlosion Crests at 50,000 each, also once only.
There is a quest hook at the shop too. The golden item on the bottom-left of the right side is needed for the Get an Item quest, and it can either be stolen or bought for 20,000 — but only if you are carrying at least 50,000. The item on the top right only appears if you gave away the Ancient Book.
The route needs five field moves — Rock Smash, Cut, Surf, Headbutt and Rock Climb — and the grass comes in two colours, green and pink, with Headbutt trees producing wild encounters rather than items.
The encounters are mid-teens across a 47-row table: Deerling at 32%, Combee at 25% in the first slot and 32% in the second.
| Landmark | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Cherry Blossom Tree | Near the top of the route, and the landmark Kecleon's Shop is described relative to. |
| Kecleon's Shop | Six counters south of the Cherry Blossom Tree. The Black Prism and Ice Stone are 25,000; the Meganium and Typhlosion Crests are 50,000 and once only; the Lures are 2,000 and once only. |
| The golden item | On the bottom-left of the shop's right side. Needed for the Get an Item quest; stealable, or 20,000 if you have at least 50,000 on you. |
| Route Z Rift | One of the route's named features. |
| River's End and Amethyst Cave | North and north-east respectively. River's End is reached by rock climbing near the top of the map, crossing a sliver of water and heading north. |
| Train Station | In the south-west, running to East Gearen City. |
Before you go
- Check all six Kecleon counters. They stock completely different things, and the two strongest items — the Meganium and Typhlosion Crests at 50,000 — are on the right side, not the left.
- Bring at least 50,000 Pokedollars if you want to buy the golden item rather than steal it. Below that threshold the purchase option is not offered.
- The top-right item only appears if you gave away the Ancient Book. If that counter looks empty, that is why.
- Headbutt trees produce wild encounters here, not items. Bring a Pokemon that can use Headbutt as well as the four HMs.
