Valor Mountain — Pokémon Rejuvenation Mountain, Cave Guide
Valor Mountain is the peak on Terajuma Island's northern side, reached from Route 6, and it is the game's emotion puzzle: the same map plays differently depending on which state the mountain is in.

Where this area leads:
| Direction | Leads to |
|---|---|
| South | Route 6 |

Rock Smash, Surf, Dive, Magma Drift is needed somewhere in this area, not necessarily to enter it — the tables below say where.
What this area is
Requires Surf / Golden Surfboard and Magma Drift / Golden Drift Board for area navigation.
What is here
Four field moves are needed — Rock Smash, Surf, Dive and Magma Drift — with the Golden Hammer, Golden Surfboard, Golden Scuba Gear and Golden Drift Board standing in for all four. It has the deepest field-move requirement on the island.
The mountain has three named states, and the wiki treats them as separate areas: Mountain Neutral Emotion, Mountain Anger Emotion and Mountain Calm Emotion. They are not cosmetic. Which one is active changes what you can reach, and at least one item — TM Normal, behind the Calmness Crystal — only exists in the matching state.
The mountain runs to four floors plus the Chamber of Awakening and the Blockade. Five of its 21 recorded items are Zygarde Cells, spread across 1F, 2F, 3F, the Chamber of Awakening and the Neutral Emotion area — more than any other location on Terajuma.
Three TMs are here: TM Ice after the upper-right frozen area on 1F, TM Normal behind the Calmness Crystal on 3F, and TM Rock lower right of the Forest of Time Gate on 4F. There are also a Leaf Stone, a Water Stone, a Revive, an Ice Heal, a Hyper Potion and a Rare Candy.
Two items are conditional on other things. The Emotion Powder comes from the Future Guy when you enter the mountain by the lower bridge. The V.G.C.R. Key comes from Madelis in the Chamber of Awakening after defeating Kyogre — and only if you took part in saving Amber.
| Landmark | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Chamber of Awakening | A Mining Rock by the summoning circle, a Zygarde Cell down the left of it, and the V.G.C.R. Key from Madelis after Kyogre. |
| Valor Cliffside | The cliff section, reached from the mountain. |
| Valor Summit | The top of the climb. |
| Valor Mountain Blockade | Blunder Policy in the first top-left room of the 2nd floor, Metal Powder in the third bottom-right room. |
| Forest of Time | Reached from the mountain. TM Rock is lower right of its gate. |
| Mountain Neutral / Anger / Calm Emotion | Three separate states of the same map. Which is active decides what is reachable. |
| Mining Rock | In the Chamber of Awakening by the summoning circle. |
Before you go
- Five Zygarde Cells are here, more than anywhere else on Terajuma, and they are split across 1F, 2F, 3F, the Chamber of Awakening and the Neutral Emotion area. Sweep each floor as you pass rather than planning a return trip.
- The V.G.C.R. Key is conditional twice over: you have to defeat Kyogre, and you have to have taken part in saving Amber.
- TM Normal sits behind the Calmness Crystal, so it only appears in the matching emotion state. If the crystal is not there, the state is wrong, not the location.
- The hole drops from 3F are the route to several 1F and 2F items on the left side. They are not shortcuts and not dead ends.
