Route 1 — Pokémon Rejuvenation Route Guide
Route 1 is the short path between East Gearen City and Goldenwood Forest, and it exists for one practical reason: it has its own healing station and PC, so you do not have to walk back to the city.

What this area is
Route 1 is a very short trainerless route located between East Gearen City and Goldenwood Forest. Similar to Goldenwood Forest, the single path on the route is lined with golden trees and golden grass. It contains two benches on either side of the path as well as a gold healing station and a green PC station saving the player from having to return to East Gearen City to heal. On the player's first visit, Melia will be waiting here to greet them. Above this area lies a small river with a bridge across which is the entrance to Goldenwood Forest.
What is here
The route is deliberately small and has no trainers. It runs between East Gearen City and Neo East Gearen City to the south and Goldenwood Forest and Goldenwood Park to the north, lined with golden trees and golden grass, with two benches along the single path.
The gold healing station and the green PC station are the feature worth knowing about. Early in the game, when you are shuttling between East Gearen and the forest content, this removes the walk back into the city entirely.
Above the route is a small river, and the bridge over it is the entrance to Goldenwood Forest.
Four of the six recorded pickups need Cut or the Golden Axe, and all four sit around the Exploud fight: a Zygarde Cell on its left side, a Jolly Mint on its right, and TM Ground and TM Normal up from it. Without Cut, two thirds of this route's items are unreachable.
The encounters are the earliest on the site — Caterpie at 30%, Sentret at 25% and Pidove at 12% — at levels 8 to 11. Surf is the only field move the route itself requires.
| Landmark | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Gold healing station | A free heal on the route, saving the trip back to East Gearen City. |
| Green PC station | Box access on the route, in the same area. |
| The bridge | Over the small river above the route. It is the entrance to Goldenwood Forest. |
| The Exploud fight | The reference point for four of the six items — a Zygarde Cell and a Jolly Mint either side, and TM Ground and TM Normal above it. |
| The train | The landmark for the route's two ungated items, a Super Repel and a hidden Potion. |
Before you go
- Use the healing station. It is the reason this route is worth remembering rather than just walking through.
- Cut, or the Golden Axe, gates four of the six items here — including both TMs. Come back once you have it.
- Everything gated sits around the Exploud fight: left, right and above it.
- The encounters are levels 8-11, the lowest on the site, so this is a good early place to bring a new catch up to speed.
Items in Route 1
