Zorrialyn Desert is the crossing at the centre of the Badlands, and the only place in the region with six separate exits — every other Badlands location is reached through it.

What is here
The desert connects to Voidal Chasm to the north-east, Alamissa Urben to the north, Sand Stream Cave to the north-west, Poilethal Forest to the south-east, Fort Rystrine to the south and Zorrialyn Coast to the south-west. Surf and Rock Climb get you around it.
It also holds 53 recorded pickups, the largest item list in the Badlands, organised by the wiki into four named sides — Eastern, Middle, Western and Southern. Most are hidden and most are shards, and the directions are written against twin rocks, cactus trees and a Female Desert Dweller as the reference points.
The encounter table has the widest spread in the region. Dugtrio sits at 24% in all three slots, Maractus at 30% in the first two but 0% in the third, and Cacturne climbs from 9% to 40% in the third. Helioptile and Heliolisk are both recorded anywhere from level 10 to level 70 in the same grass.
Three interactions sit outside the grass table entirely: Mandibuzz at 65, Exeggutor at 65 and Cacturne at 62.
The desert has three landmarks of its own that the wiki names — the Mudsdale Carrier, the Oasis and a Mining Rock — on top of the four directional sides.

Before you go
- Treat the desert as a junction. Voidal Chasm, Alamissa Urben, Sand Stream Cave, Poilethal Forest, Fort Rystrine and Zorrialyn Coast are all reached through it, so a single crossing is rarely enough.
- 53 pickups across four named sides is the biggest sweep in the Badlands. Work one side at a time rather than crossing straight through.
- Cacturne jumps from 9% to 40% in the third grass slot. If you want one, only the third slot is worth walking.
- Helioptile and Heliolisk are recorded from level 10 to level 70 in the same grass as everything else. Read that column as a range the wiki recorded, not as a level band you can plan around.
