What this area is

Voidal Chasm's appearance depends on whether you exposed Flora or not in the Darchlight Caves.

What is here

The cave's appearance depends on one earlier decision — whether you exposed Flora in the Darchlight Caves. The same place reads differently on the two branches, which is worth knowing before comparing it against a guide written on the other one.

What it is actually for is Ethers. Thirty-one of the 44 recorded pickups are Ethers, most of them hidden behind the 'pink petal' spots the wiki uses as reference points, spread across six named areas: B1 Entrance, B2 Bridges, B2 Boat, B2 Exit, B3 Lower and Upper B3. If you are heading into a long stretch without a heal point, this is where the PP restores are.

The thirteen non-Ether items are the reason to sweep properly rather than farm: a Dusk Stone, TM Ghost, a PP Up, an Odd Keystone, a Razor Claw, an Ability Capsule, a White Herb, a Rare Candy, an Old Scarf, a Toolkit, a Dusk Ball and two Zygarde Cells.

Rock Climb is the only field move required, with the Golden Claws as its substitute, but it is load-bearing: the B2 climbable walls and the upper B3 entrances are how the deeper areas are reached at all.

The encounters are Ground and Ghost at levels 65-70, led by Golurk at 35%.
