Mt. Terajuma is the mountain above Kakori Village on Terajuma Island. Its summit holds the Weather Institute and Lovers Bridge, and the Terajuma Trial is what lets you get up there.

The Aevium region page treats both routes as standard: by cable car from Kakori, or by traversing the jungle and Mirimura Cave, you arrive at the Weather Institute on top of Mt. Terajuma.
What this area is
Mt. Terajuma is the mountain on Terajuma Island — the smallest of Aevium's main islands and the second one the player visits. It rises directly above Kakori Village, the ranger settlement that serves as the island's hub.
It is not the same place as Valor Mountain. Valor Mountain is the volcano north of Jynnobi Pass, and the two are easy to conflate because they sit on the same island and both matter in the same stretch of the story. If you are looking for the Weather Institute or Lovers Bridge, you want Mt. Terajuma.
The Terajuma Trial
The summit is gated, and the gate is the Terajuma Trial. Crawli sets the group on it in Chapter 6: retrieve the three Relics and you gain access to the top of Mt. Terajuma.
The Sky Relic turns out to be hidden behind waterfalls deep in Terajuma Jungle. The trio goes in for it, meets Neved, and is told Team Xen has business with the Weather Institute on the mountain — then finds out the raid was cover. While the group fought its way up, Zetta secured the Sky Relic and left by helicopter. The Earth Relic is at Teila Resort and the Ocean Relic at Kristiline Town, so the trial keeps you moving around the island before the summit opens.
What is at the top
Two things: the Weather Institute and Lovers Bridge. The Weather Institute is the one with the mechanics attached to it — Castform, the Castform Crest, the vendors, and the end of the Flora's Puzzle Box sidequest.
The cable car back down to Kakori Village becomes a story beat of its own in Chapter 6: after the Sky Relic is lost, the group and Rorim B make their way down by cable car rather than walking the jungle again.
