The World of Aevium
Pokemon Rejuvenation takes place in the Aevium region, an island archipelago in the vicinity of Kalos. Forty years before the game begins, a disaster known only as "Storm-9" — usually called the Calamity — tore what was once a single landmass apart. Its cause is still unknown, and the region's past keeps surfacing as the story unfolds. Today Aevium is a cluster of islands split into four sub-regions, each with its own climate and culture:

Story Themes You Should Know
Several recurring concepts show up in almost every chapter, so it helps to understand them before diving into the chapter summaries:
- Team Xen — the villainous organization behind the Dimensional Rifts. Members include Professor Jenner's former colleagues, executives like Zetta, Madelis and Geara, and the mysterious leader Madame X.
- Dimensional Rifts — unstable portals that can transform Pokémon into powerful Rift Pokémon; the very first one drags the protagonist and Melia into a fight with a massive Gyarados in Chapter 1.
- The stone phenomenon — from Chapter 10 onward, people across the region are mysteriously turned to stone, including Nim and later Venam; the Spring of Rejuvenation eventually reverses it in Chapter 15.
- The Interceptor — the protagonist's hidden role, tied to the ancient obelisk in the Field of Pillars and the sleeping figure Adrest. Learning the truth of this origin is a Chapter 15 turning point, and it's where the Renegade Route can begin.

Pokemon Rejuvenation Story & World FAQ
What is Pokemon Rejuvenation about?
It's a heavily story-driven, Generation 3-styled Pokemon fangame (with Pokémon up to Gen 8) set in the Aevium region. After being shipwrecked near East Gearen City, the protagonist gets a starter Pokémon from Professor Jenner's lab and gradually becomes the key figure — the Interceptor — in the fight against Team Xen and the mysteries of the region.
Is Pokemon Rejuvenation finished?
Not yet. V14, released in 2024, is the current public build and contains Chapters 1–16, but the game is still in active development. Version 16 is planned as the final update. Anything tied to V14 content on this site is marked "as of V14" and reflects the current build.
Who are the main characters in Pokemon Rejuvenation?
The core party is the protagonist, Melia (Jenner's daughter, later a Normal-type gym leader), Ren (the professor's assistant), Venam (East Gearen's Poison-type leader), Aelita (Keta's daughter and the protagonist's closest ally) and Nim. They're opposed by Team Xen's Madame X, and later face rivals Clear and Kieran. Full profiles are on the characters page.
How many chapters does Pokemon Rejuvenation have?
As of V14 there are 16 chapters plus the .Karma Files mini chapter, which is skippable on later playthroughs. Chapter 16 continues the story after .Karma Files; Version 16 is the planned final update. See all chapter summaries.
